Fox Cafe Nottingham

I was due a catch-up with one of my friends from uni. We decided to go to brunch and my friend suggested going to the Fox Cafe. I had walked past the front of this cafe so many times, but haven’t had a chance to explore inside. Seeing that my last name is Fox, it seemed the perfect location to go to.

The cafe is located on Pelham St, just off Market Square. The cafe is decorated with a myriad of foxes and black boards with menus on. It is so cosy and had such a friendly and warming atmosphere. It seemed as if it was the place for people to go to meet friends and family; everyone was so relaxed.

I was very impressed with their menu; they had so many items on there for a vegan and vegetarian diet. It took me a while to decide what I was going to have for brunch. I was torn between the granola, fresh fruit and yogurt and the vegan and veggie breakfasts. Both myself and my friend opted for the vegan breakfast and she got a hot chocolate on the side. My brunch consisted of roasted Mediterranean vegetables, spinach, beans, a vegan sausage, mushrooms, hash browns, vine tomatoes and toast. I opted for the sourdough bread, but they had so many different options, including granary, ciabatta, sourdough, gluten free, etc.

I would really like to go back another time for lunch and try out the roasted vegetable, cream cheese and basil pesto sandwich, the hummus, roasted vegetable and spinach panini or the mozzarella, basil pesto and tomato sandwich. The salads with a choice of toppings also interested me, as well as the Vegan Board that consists of brown lentil patte, hummus, Mediterranean vegetables, tomatoes, carrot sticks and sourdough. I was very impressed that they even had vegan spread too.

I really thought the service was great and the staff were so friendly and very open about making adjustments to the menu depending on your individual requirements. I would definitely recommend this cafe, especially if have specific dietary requirements or allergies, they really do cater for everyone.

The food was delicious and definitely satisfied our brunch cravings. I saw on the way out that they offer Tea Pigs matcha lattes which are my favourite, so I will be going back in the near future to pick one up!
